Everything is about money in this world. Regardless on who you are, you need money in this world.
If you have never been overseas on holiday or on business then you won't know what I am talking about here today. But I think that most of you reading this post will understand what I am about to say.
Let's say you are working in your own country and used to everything in there and is earning enough to spend, have a little fun and save at the same time and you are used to the cost of living.
Suddenly you realized that you have saved enough for a holiday. So off you go then to a country who's currency is weaker than your own country. Wow, when you land you find out that hey, things are pretty cheap here. Half the price of what it is back home. Very good. When you spend and buy things, you do the conversion and it's not too bad since it is half price anyway.
But let's say you go on a holiday where the currency in that country is stronger than your own. Ouch, it hurts. Every time you pull out your wallet, figures run through your head instantly, and you find yourself calculating and converting. You also find yourself thinking twice or even more than that before buying anything.
However, in some cases, there are certain things in that country that are cheaper even after conversion and some things that are more expensive period.
Everyone is tight fisted one way or the other. It just depends on where you want to put your money at. Which ranks the highest for you? a grand dinner? or that cute top in the window of the shop?
Would it be fair to say that something is expensive in another country if you haven't even been there? Maybe it is normal for it to cost that way in that country but in your opinion that is expensive. Take rent for example, if you prefer to live outside the city then obviously your rent will be cheaper but you will have to incur traveling expenses. On the other hand, you wouldn't need to incur any traveling expense or a small amount if you live in the city but your rent will be higher. So there is a trade off here, live away from the city and pay less or live in the city and pay more.
People sometimes complain that rent is very expensive in they city. Well, hello, reality check, you are right in the center of the city, where it is the most busiest, where all the shopping malls are and you expect to pay peanuts for it? Of course, you have to be a bit choosy when you choose where you stay as there are some places that are just down right expensive even for those who have lived in the city before. Seldom you will get everything for nothing, but sometimes those opportunities do arise but you would have to pay a bit. Oh well, better to get everything for a little bit more than nothing for nothing.
So actually it all comes to the conclusion that it all depends on the individual, on what they want and on what they choose to do.
The choice is yours.
